Description of the work
The work represents the story of Batista who, like a ghost, rides spurring on a black and powerful horse.
The colour black is a symbol of power and virility, which is why the artist shows the company galloping incessantly under the otherworldly guidance of the founder Batista.
The landscape is that of vines and the sea, of the land around Treviso, which is why the brushstrokes are soft to convey a sensation of “softness” which attracts and plunges the viewer into the work.
The painting is signed by the artist who puts the number 23, indicating his age, on the edge, increasing its originality.
