Description of the work

The work shows a tangle (an artistic block) which expresses the artist’s satisfaction in creating a twisted canvas and in succeeding in overcoming this block.

The title of the work is not connected with the painting but with the fact that the frame is crooked and protruding, hence the name “twisted sail”.
